Stress, travel, and delayed periods
The brain and ovaries are in conversation. Stress can postpone ovulation — and therefore a period.
A late period is not always pregnancy
Illness, heavy training, jet lag, grief, or a pile-up of stress can delay ovulation. A delayed ovulation delays the period. Pregnancy is still worth ruling out if it is possible.
What to do
Take a pregnancy test if it is relevant. Keep logging. If periods stop for several months, become suddenly irregular, or you have other symptoms (severe acne, rapid hair change, pain), book clinical care.
